1. What exactly is a Mobile Ticket?

Mobile Ticket is the newest way to get tickets from Fandango. Rather than printing at home or collecting your ticket from the box office or theater kiosk, you can have your ticket delivered to your mobile device.
Your mobile ticket will contain a unique barcode and accompanying details for the movie you are going to see. Once you receive your Mobile Ticket, simply take your mobile device with you to the theater and have the barcode scanned right at the ticket podium. There’s no need to wait in line or print anything!

2. How do Mobile Tickets Work?

Although you redeem Mobile Tickets in the same way as conventional tickets, there is a difference in the way you will receive your Mobile Ticket if you’ve purchased it on a Fandango mobile app or from the Fandango website. Purchases on www.fandango.com (the "Fandango Site")
If Mobile Ticket is available for your selected theater, it will display as an option on the Fandango ticket confirmation page. Select the Mobile Ticket option, enter your valid mobile phone number and check your text messages for the ticket(s).

If Mobile Ticket is available for your selected theater, it will display as an option on the purchase confirmation page. You can access your Mobile Ticket from the Fandango Mobile App’s purchase history. In addition, you can send your Mobile Ticket to another device.

At the theater, go directly to the ticket podium to have the Mobile Ticket(s) on your device scanned.

3. Who can receive a Mobile Ticket?

Purchases on the "Fandango Site"
If you have AT&T, Sprint or T-Mobile, you must have a phone that can receive text messages and has access to the Internet. If you have Verizon, your phone must be able to receive PIX messages.
If you don't have one of the carriers listed above, Mobile Ticket is not available for you at this time.
Purchases on the "Fandango Mobile App"
You must have the Fandango Mobile App for Android to receive a Mobile Ticket. Please check back soon for to see when Mobile Ticket will be available for the Fandango Mobile App for iPhone, BlackBerry and Palm.

4. How are Mobile Tickets delivered?

Mobile Ticket is delivered as an MMS or WAP link message (a link that you can view on the mobile Web) depending on your mobile device carrier. See below for details:
AT&T: WAP Push (ticket is viewed in your mobile Web browser)
Sprint: SMS WAP Link (ticket is viewed in your mobile Web browser)
T-Mobile: WAP Push (ticket is viewed in your mobile Web browser)
Verizon: MMS (ticket is delivered as a PIX picture message)
Purchases on the "Fandango Mobile App"
Mobile Ticket will display right on your purchase confirmation page. In addition, you can access your Mobile Ticket from the Fandango Mobile App’s purchase history. You will also have the option to send you Mobile Ticket to another device from the Fandango Mobile App. If you choose to send your Mobile Ticket to another device, please review the "Fandango Site Purchase" delivery information above.

5. What does a Mobile Ticket look like?

A Mobile Ticket barcode looks likes a "broken chess board". Purchases on the "Fandango Site"
You will receive it as a message on your mobile device, which can be accessed in different ways, depending on your carrier.

Verizon
On Verizon, you will receive a "PIX" message (an MMS picture message) which you can simply open to view.

AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile
On these carriers, messages are delivered as a text message with a web link in it. Your device should automatically recognize the mobile Web link and allow you to "click" on it. The URL opens to a mobile Web page that displays your Mobile Ticket.

6. How much does a Mobile Ticket cost?

Fandango does not charge an extra fee for Mobile Ticket. If your Mobile Ticket is delivered via text message, there may be an additional fee charged by your carrier when a Mobile Ticket is received – your carrier may collect a small data charge for downloading the ticket (maximum size 30Kb) depending on the type of data plan you have.

7. What happens if I don't receive my Mobile Ticket?

No problem! If you don't receive your Mobile Ticket, just request to have your Mobile Ticket resent by clicking on the "Send Mobile Ticket" link from your email confirmation page or from your purchase history page.

8. Where can I get Mobile Ticket?

Mobile Ticket is only offered at select theaters at this time. But more to come!
Look for the MOBILE TICKET icon next to a theater name to see if Mobile Ticketing is available.

9. What do I need to bring to the theater?

Just your mobile device to show your barcode.

10. How long does it take to receive my ticket?

Purchases on the "Fandango Site"
In most cases, just 30 seconds. There may occasionally be delays depending on the amount of traffic on your mobile network.

Your Mobile Ticket will display instantly on the confirmation page.

11. Does everyone in my party need to arrive together?

Yes. Your Mobile Ticket holds all of the tickets purchased in your order. All of your guests must arrive at the same time to gain entry using Mobile Ticket.

12. What happens if I forget my phone or my battery dies at the theater?

All you have to do is visit the theater box office or kiosk and present your credit card used for purchase.

13. What if I lose my phone, or it it's stolen, or if I upgrade to a new device?

If you no longer have access to your Mobile Ticket, you can request to have to Mobile Ticket resent by clicking on the "Send Mobile Ticket” link from your email confirmation page or from your purchase history page.

14. Will my phone number be used for other purposes?

Absolutely not. Your mobile phone number will only be used to deliver your Mobile Ticket. It will not be used for any other purpose or passed to third parties without your consent.
